The pouches are small and depending on the size can hold small items such as pocket knives, lip gloss, and whatever small items you want to keep close to you. You will find that no two bags are alike. Each is different with it's own design. Grandma no longer makes these handmade hand sewn pouches due to her health. Native Americans used to keep small leather pouches to keep items inside that had significant meaning to them like shells, feathers, or even small pebbles.
