Tuesday's Feature Nature Plaque

If you or someone you know is a hunter or wildlife lover, this plaque is a great edition for the wall. Poppy used different colored stains for the background and the deer and the eagle.

Fun Facts: Eagles: Only two species in North America. Bald Eagle and Golden Eagle. Eagles will use the same nest every year.
Deer : Once a deer has claimed a territory, they won't leave it. They would starve rather than leave that area. Deer can live up to 11 years in the wild.

This Weeks Feature


This weeks feature is Custom Name Plaques. These are cut out with the scroll saw and are stained.

Poppy's Store just opened today. Here we will tell you about the store and each week feature a new item that is in the store.
Here's a little information about Poppy. Poppy lives in Tennesse. He is a retired Navy Submarine Veteran and Marine Corp Veteran. He has worked with the scroll saw since 1991. He makes plaques and clocks and can also customize names and word phrases. Wondering what those are?
You will have to check the site out and see.
What is scroll saw? Scroll saw is a thin blade that can make very intricate and detailed cuts. It can make straight and curved lines. It is also known as Fancy wood work. An example can be seen above. This hand made scroll saw plaque is called Founding Fathers. All the cuts are detailed and intricate. There are all in one piece of would which is them stained and given a clear coat.
