Over 100 Items Now In Store

Today, we have finished adding all the new plaques we have. This was a total of 63 plaques in all categories.

Soon we will be adding over 50 more items in the new category called Grandma's Corner. These will be handmade leather pouches and hand painted smudging feathers. There will also be abalone shells and sage. We are excited about this new addition that will be coming soon. We will let you know when this is complete and give you more information about Grandma and what smudging is.

We have added 51 new items to our store. We have 11 more plaques to add to the Nature Category tomorrow. New additions are in the Clock, Religious, and Misc Categories. So have fun and go check out the store and see what the new additions look like. Also additions in Military.

Exciting New Additions to the Store

We have some exciting new additions in the store. We have added 13 clocks and 4 welcome signs. This became a whole new category for us. There are more additions coming soon to this category and to the other categories.

I am also working on each category being broken down into sub-categories to make shopping for the the things you want easier. For Example: The catergory Clocks, Welcome, Frames now has two sub=categories. Clocks and Welcome signs. This way if you want to just look at clocks, that particular sub holds just the clocks. I plan to break each category into subs. This should make your experience at our store even more fun.

This is in the works and will be something up in the next several days. Grandma's Corner will have several smudging feathers and handmade leather pouches. Keep your eyes out for it once I get the rest of the categories finished.

Fun Facts: Eagles: Only two species in North America. Bald Eagle and Golden Eagle. Eagles will use the same nest every year.
Deer : Once a deer has claimed a territory, they won't leave it. They would starve rather than leave that area. Deer can live up to 11 years in the wild.

Nature Week

This week we are going to feature Nature Plaques that we have in the store. Today's plaque is the Pheasants.

This plaque is 10"h by 14"w. The frame is made out of Poplar and the cutouts are made out of Baltic Birch.

We used a close up of this picture to allow you to see the detail and cuts in this plaque. Different color stains help to give the pheasants color along with their background.

Fun Facts: Pheasants are a very popular game bird. There are over 35 species in the world. The males are larger than females and have longer tail feathers. They mostly eat seeds and small insects. If you see a group of pheasants together on the ground, they are called a Nye.

Poppy's Store just opened today. Here we will tell you about the store and each week feature a new item that is in the store.

Here's a little information about Poppy. Poppy lives in Tennesse. He is a retired Navy Submarine Veteran and Marine Corp Veteran. He has worked with the scroll saw since 1991. He makes plaques and clocks and can also customize names and word phrases. Wondering what those are?

You will have to check the site out and see.

What is scroll saw? Scroll saw is a thin blade that can make very intricate and detailed cuts. It can make straight and curved lines. It is also known as Fancy wood work. An example can be seen above. This hand made scroll saw plaque is called Founding Fathers. All the cuts are detailed and intricate. There are all in one piece of would which is them stained and given a clear coat.
